Each of the three concentrations includes courses, a "practicum," and an internship. The practicum is an introductory-level learning experience "on the job" in the ski industry. Students practice newly learned skills in the field, with the supervision of faculty and of practicing professionals in the ski industry. Internships are more in-depth learning and work experiences in career settings.

Some students choose to complete more than one concentration in addition to degree requirements. Such preparation offers graduates a wide range of career opportunities.
